III. Meeting Hoda Shara'awi
In order to be able to pursue her studies at the Sorbonne, Doria reached out to Hoda Sha’arawi, the venerated upper class lady who was doing so much at this time to raise awareness around social issues concerning women, and who would go on to be her own mentor. Hoda Hanem provided much support, kindness and guidance at the time that Doria received her scholarship from the Egyptian Ministry of Education to pursue her studies at the Sorbonne in Paris.
