DS made Editor-in-Chief of La Femme Nouvelle magazine
DS receives honorary membership of La Femme Nouvelle Association
When Princess Chevikar approached Doria with an offer to edit a new cultural and literary magazine, Doria, after some hesitation, began the next phase of her ‘public’ life. Even though Doria had no journalism background or any experience of the publishing world, she felt she was ready for this new challenge. By taking on this position, Doria was living the motto she wrote for herself years ago, “to know, to be able, to want and to dare.” As well as being Editor-in-Chief of La Femme Nouvelle magazine, Doria was made an honorary member of La Femme Nouvelle Association, an important philanthropic organization. At the time, organizations such as La Femme Nouvelle Association fulfilled the role that government ministries should have been responsible for, getting involved in health, education, poverty issues – all areas directly affecting the condition of women in society.
